Mariages de St. Pierre de Sorel, 1675 - 1865
St-Pierre-de-Sorel: St-Pierre, marriages (1675-1865). 257 pages. Sorel is the fourth oldest city in Canada. Its formation began in 1641 when Charles Huault de Montmagny, first Governor and Lieutenant-Governor of New France, built Fort Richelieu here as a defense for settlers and river travellers against the Iroquois. In 1647, the original fort was destroyed by the Iroquois but it was rebuilt by the Carignan-Salières Regiment on the same site in 1665.

Internet Genealogy Magazine Reviews WorldVitalRecords.com
"UK BMD and Census Records. The addition of these records helps make the World Collection comparable to Ancestry's World Collection." "Each subscription service on its own was just a bit too narrow for my limited needs, or had enough overlap with other databases that I currently subscribe to, to make it hard to justify individual subscriptions. That is now a moot point as I can 'one-stop-shop' at WorldVitalRecords.com" |
