WorldVitalRecords.com is a online genealogy service, owned and operated by FamilyLink.com, Inc. Please carefully read this Agreement. By using all or any portion of WorldVitalRecords.com you agree to all the terms and conditions written in this Agreement. If you do not agree to the terms of this Agreement, DO NOT USE THE SERVICE.

Again, please note that this Agreement limits our liability and we do not provide warranties for the Service. The Agreement also limits your remedies.

This is a contract between you and WorldVitalRecords.com (located at 7884 North 300 West, Provo, UT 84604, United States). We will refer to ourselves in this contract as either WorldVitalRecords.com, WVR, we, or our. You are an individual person, or you are an employee or other agent of an entity on whose behalf you are accepting this contract and by accepting this contract you represent that you have authority to bind such entity. You must provide us with complete and accurate information.

All information, graphics, audio and other contents (the Content) is owned and or copyrighted by FamilyLink.com, Inc. or third party providers and may only be used in accord with this limited use license. WorldVitalRecords.com is protected by copyright as a collective work and/or compilation, in accordance with all copyright laws.

This contract, which may be modified at any time, covers your use of WorldVitalRecords.com, and includes any other related services, content, media, updates, or upgrades. We refer to these all as the Service. You may not use the Service in a way that is against the law. You also may not use it in a way that harms us or our affiliates, service providers and/or suppliers (collectively, the WVR Parties), or any customer of a WVR Party.

You may access World Vital Records and its content only for personal and professional family history or genealogy research. Downloading of whole portions of any portion of this site for any purpose is absolutely prohibited. Resale of a work or database or portion thereof is also forbidden. Online or other republication of Content is prohibited except for personal use. Your subscription will immediately be terminated for any violation of this license. Legal action for injunction and/or damages may also be applicable.

World Vital Records subscriptions are continuous service memberships. Once you subscribe to the service, your membership will automatically renew and your billing choice will be charged based on the subscription type you have chosen and the then standard subscription rate. Billing charges will be processed within 24 hours of your initial order or renewal date. Any products included in your order that are not available for shipment within 24 hours of your order will be shipped separately with a separate billing, if applicable. Except in the case of monthly subscriptions, you will receive a renewal notice by phone and/or email at least 15 days prior to the subscription renewal. These notices will provide you with an opportunity to update account contact information and cancel your subscription prior to renewal, if desired. You recognize that WorldVitalRecords will use best efforts to notify you of renewal using the contact information provided in your account. As a subscriber, you are responsible to maintain your account information and keep your contact information current. Upon renewal, you will have 15 days subsequent to your subscription renewal date to cancel your subscription to receive a full refund.

From the United States, you may cancel by phone by calling WorldVitalRecords at 1-888-377-0588 prior to the renewal date. International customers may also call 1-888-377-0588 during business hours or send an e-mail to internationalcancel@worldvitalrecords.com and provide the following information:

You can cancel your subscription at any time; however, refunds will only be issued in accordance with our 30-day money-back guarantee within the first 30 days of your initial annual membership or within 15 days of an annual subscription renewal. No refund is available in the case of a gift subscription. All subscriptions begin on the day you register for the subscription Service, which is also the day you are given access to the subscription area of the Service. You may cancel your subscription at any time outside of the initial 30 days of your subscription or within 15 days of your annual subscription renewal; however, no refund will be made for unused time on your subscription. You will continue to enjoy access to the subscription Service until your current subscription period has ended.

Subscription costs may be changed by WorldVitalRecords at any time and each renewal of your subscription will be at the then standard renewal cost for the period that you originally selected when you subscribed.

WorldVitalRecords will inform you about changes in service, subscription renewals, and new product offerings by email or phone. You may opt out of this notification service by following the instructions in any email you receive or by telling one of our phone representatives that you do not wish to be contacted by phone. For further information on our use of member information, see the Privacy Statement on the Service.

WorldVitalRecords.com offers a 30 day money back guarantee on all annual subscription memberships. If at anytime during your first 30 days of membership you are not satisfied with the service call us on our toll free number at 1-888-377-0588 and request a refund. Upon request WorldVitalRecords.com will refund your total membership amount. This money back guarantee applies to all World Vital Records annual membership plans and does not apply to shipped products.

Shipped products that are damaged or defective can be returned within seven (7) days of receipt if proper arrangements are made prior to return. If you need to return a product, please call World Vital Records at 1-888-377-0588 to receive a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) prior to returning the product. Account credit will be issued once the merchandise is received by World Vital Records. World Vital Records does not pay for shipping on returned goods.

The WVR Parties provide the Content and Service as-is, with all faults, and as available, giving no express warranties, guarantees or conditions. You may have additional consumer rights under your local laws that this contract cannot change. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude any implied warranties, including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, workmanlike effort, and non-infringement. In no instance will the WVR Parties be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, or other consequential damages including delay or failure of use, loss of data, viruses or other disabling features, incompatibilities, any matter related to the Service or Content including any third party Internet sites, third party programs, or third party conduct, or claims for breach of contract, breach of warranty, guarantee or condition, strict liability, negligence, or other tort to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Claims for breach of this contract will be subject to the laws of the State of Utah, without reference to conflict of law principles. You consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of state or federal courts in Salt Lake County, Utah, USA for all disputes relating to this contract or the Service. All other claims, including claims regarding consumer protection laws, unfair competition laws, and in tort, will be subject to the laws of your state or country. Any claim related to this contract or the Service must be brought within one year. The one-year period begins on the date when the claim could be filed. If it is not filed, then that claim is permanently barred. This applies to you and your successors. It also applies to us and our successors and assigns.

Should you breach this Agreement we will revoke your license to use the Service and suspend your right of access. In such a case, no portion of your subscription payment will be refunded. Should we decide to suspend your subscription service for any reason other than breach, we will refund to you the unused portion of your subscription payment, which will be your sole and exclusive remedy upon such a suspension of service.

WorldVitalRecords has the right, at its sole discretion, to modify this Agreement or the Service, including the Content of the Service, at any time. Changes in Service will be posted on WorldVitalRecords.com, or sent via e-mail, or postal mail to you. If any portion of this Agreement or any change of this Agreement of the Service is unacceptable to you or will cause you to no longer be in compliance with the Agreement, you may cancel your subscription by calling Account Services at FamilyLink.com, Inc (1-888-377-0588 ). Continued use of the Service now or following posted notices of changes in this Agreement, (notice is given by changing the date of last revision), means that you have accepted and are bound by the changes.

Question: How do I cancel my subscription at World Vital Records?

Answer: If you wish to cancel your subscription at World Vital Records, please contact us by phone at 1-888-377-0588 between the hours of 8-5 p.m. (Mountain Standard Time). If you live outside the United States, please dial the international country code for your country, and then dial 1-888-377-0588.

If the World Vital Records membership that you purchased included a product that was included as a premium or promotional offer (magazine subscriptions, software, eBooks, audio books, etc.) then the amount refunded will be reduced to cover the cost of the additional product. There are no refunds of magazine subscriptions, software, eBooks, audio books, or other downloads or shipped physical products in boxes. The sale of magazine subscriptions downloads, or other electronic, digital, or physical products are final. The amount refunded will be 50% of the purchase price to cover the cost of the World Vital Records membership.
